My Workflow

CST (color space transform)

First I transform the clips from the colorspace they were filmed in (could be RAW / S-log…) into my working color space (Davinci wide gammut). This way all my tools and looks are easily aplied to all clips, regarless on the camera they were filmed with.

Then I balance all the clips inside each scene to match oneanother, so they have the same baseline to then apply the look. These changes are than photometricaly (same as if they were changed in camera)

Using masks and powerwindows to shape the light, in order to guide the eye towards the focus of the frame.

Look developement + texture

Creating a look crafted for each project, to bring out a specific feeling the peace is trying to convey. And adding texture characteristics we’ve all growned to love, like film grain, lens characteristics…
